After trailing for the majority of the game, the Voyageurs men's basketball team was able to successfully strike back in the fourth quarter, outscoring their opponent 32-20. This effort resulted in the team coming away with their eleventh victory of the season, this time over the Ryerson Rams with a final score of 88-83.
Second year guard, Kadre Gray earned his third triple-double of the season, contributing 26 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Senior forward Nelson Yengue added a double-double of his own tallying 18 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.
Another key factor to the Voyageurs' success seemed to be getting to and finishing at the foul line. The team shot 77% on their 35 visits to the charity stripe in contrast to their opponent's 75% on 20 attempts.
Top scorer for the visiting Rams was Manny Diressa with 32 points.
The Voyageurs will look to add another victory to their record tomorrow evening as they face off against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at 8pm on home court.
