After their victory against the Nipissing Lakers this past Wednesday, the Voyageurs looked to add another big win to their column. This time they faced off against the Lakehead Thunderwolves on home court.
By starting out hot, Laurentian was able to grab a comfortable 15 point lead in the first quarter. With this, the home team gradually grew the spread as the game progressed, finishing off the Thunderwolves with a 101-81 victory.
It was another big night for the Voyageurs third year guard Kadre Gray, who racked up a career high 48 points in the match. Gray also added 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Third year guard Sam Ivey also stepped up, tallying 12 points of his as he shot 60% from the field.
Leading scorer for Lakehead was Kevin Ndahiro with 18 points.
Laurentian will look to continue their winning streak as they face off once again at home next weekend, playing the Brock Badgers on Friday at 8pm and the McMaster Marauders on Saturday at 8pm.
