As the Voyageurs returned to court for the last time this semester, they faced off against the 6-4 Western Mustangs.
It was a tough first half for the home team, as the Mustangs came racing out of the gate, shooting a very high percentage. As the home team trailed by 10 at halftime, they needed to bring some major energy into the final quarters of 2018 if they wanted to snatch the victory.
Despite some great runs by the Voyageurs in the later half of the game, it seemed as if the Mustangs kept catching up to their pace. In the final minutes, the scoring gap was just too big to overcome, this ultimately resulted in an 88-78 victory in favour of Western.
Top scorer for the Mustangs was Eriq Jenkins with 20 points.
Laurentian will be back in action on home court January 4th where they'll host the Queen's Gaels for the first match up of 2019.
