The Laurentian Voyageurs women's basketball team extended their win streak to three games on Saturday night, earning an impressive 74–59 victory over the York Lions. With the win, the Vees moved back to .500 at 5–5 on the season.

Laurentian came out firing, racing to a 16–5 lead midway through the opening quarter. York answered with an 11–4 run to close the frame, tightening the score and setting up a competitive second quarter. The teams traded baskets throughout the period, and a late three from York's Gabriella Di Pietro brought the Lions within one at halftime.

York briefly seized momentum to open the third quarter, taking their first lead of the game on a layup from Kiara Leveridge. But Laurentian responded immediately—Molly Adams drilled a three to reclaim the lead, and the Voyageurs never looked back. Laurentian controlled the remainder of the quarter, closing on an 18–9 run to build a 55–44 advantage heading into the fourth. The Vees maintained their composure in the final frame and cruised to a 15-point win over the previously 5–2 Lions.

The Voyageurs' efficiency was a major difference-maker. They shot an impressive 51% from the field and 41.7% from three-point range, offsetting the 22 turnovers they committed. Laurentian was once again led by the dominant duo of Claudia Pellerin and Emilie Lafond, who each poured in 22 points. Off the bench, Adams provided a major spark, hitting all three of her attempts from deep to finish with nine points.

Riding their best stretch of the season, Laurentian will travel to Toronto next weekend for matchups with TMU and the University of Toronto.
