The Laurentian women's basketball team hit the road to Oshawa to face the one-win Ontario Tech Ridgebacks. While the performance wasn't pretty, the Voyageurs took care of business, earning a 54–37 victory.

Claudia Pellerin got Laurentian rolling with an early three-pointer, and the Vees jumped out to a dominant start, scoring 13 straight points before the Ridgebacks finally got on the board nearly nine minutes into the game. A buzzer-beating three from Alexia Schryburt closed the opening quarter and gave Laurentian a commanding 16–2 lead.

The second quarter was more tightly contested, as Ontario Tech showed more fight and Laurentian struggled to find offensive rhythm. Even so, the Voyageurs carried a 29–14 lead into halftime in what was an ugly, low-scoring, first half.

The third quarter offered little improvement, with the two teams combining for just 18 points in another sluggish stretch of basketball. By then, it was clear Laurentian was in full control, and they cruised through the fourth quarter to secure their 11th win of the season, 54–37.

One of the positives for Laurentian was the ability to rest key contributors, as no player logged more than 30 minutes. With a matchup against the conference-leading Queen's Gaels looming tomorrow, the rest proved valuable.

Despite limited minutes, Emilie Lafond led the blue and gold with 14 points and eight rebounds. Ontario Tech struggled mightily on the offensive end, failing to produce a double-digit scorer. The Ridgebacks shot just 21.1% from the field, including 1-for-23 (4.3%) from beyond the arc.

Laurentian wasn't much better offensively, turning in one of its least efficient performances of the season. Still, getting the struggles out of the way against Ontario Tech could prove beneficial with the 19-win Gaels waiting next.
